本品為豆科植物蒙古黃芪Astragalus membranaceus（Fisch.）Bge.var.mongholicus（Bge.）Hsiao或膜莢黃芪Astragalus membranaceus（Fisch.）Bge.的干燥根。春、秋二季采挖，除去須根和根頭，曬干。
